The Swiss Wardrobe is a guide to clothing brands founded or made in Switzerland: the big names everyone knows and the small labels you only find through a friend. We publish two kinds of article. Reviews look at one product in depth. Guides compare brands in one category so you can decide where to start.

How we review

We wear a piece for at least a few weeks and wash it the way the care label says before we score it. Every review ends in the same label, so reviews are easy to compare:

• Fit: how true to size it is and how it sits on the body.
• Fabric: how the material feels and how it holds up after washing.
• Build: stitching, seams, hardware and finishing.
• Value: whether the price matches what you get, compared with similar pieces.

Scores go from 1 to 5. A brand can't pay for a review or a score, and we say so when we got a product for free.

Who we are and our links to brands

The site is written by people who work in and around fashion in Switzerland. When we have a link to a brand in an article, such as a product we got for free or an affiliate link, that article says so at the top.
